This is my take on the San Carlos Board of Trustees, of which I am a member, and the San Carlos School District. The SCSD is a K-8 school district, currently educating about 2,800 students, located in the San Francisco Bay Area just south of San Mateo.<\/p>\n
As to why I’m doing this…<\/p>\n
Corny as it sounds, I ran for office back in 2001 because I think people, if they have the time, should give back to the society that nurtured them. One way of doing that is to get involved in local government.<\/p>\n
I also believe that the people we elect should stay in touch with the community they serve. Nowadays, one way of doing that is by maintaining a presence on the web. Particularly because it’s so easy — and fun! — to both share thoughts and perspectives and invite comment and discussion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
